Indian River Shores to Hold Mail Ballot Charter Referendum Election

 

Indian River County, FL – The Town of Indian River Shores is conducting a mail ballot election on January 24, 2023. Voters who reside within the Town of Indian River Shores (precincts 31 and 32) will decide upon eleven charter amendment questions. Florida Statute allows elections where ballots are mailed to every registered voter within a municipality only if; the election is a referendum election. No candidates may appear on any ballot for a mail ballot election.

On December 15, 4,083 ballots were delivered to the post office for the upcoming election. All voters who reside within the town limits of Indian River Shores should be on the lookout for their ballot. On December 9, the Elections Office delivered 49 ballots to Indian River Shores voters who are residing overseas.

All voted ballots must be returned by 7 p.m., January 24, 2023 to the Indian River County Supervisor of Elections office in order to be counted. Visit VoteIndianRiver.gov to preview a sample ballot for the Indian River Shores Mail Ballot Charter Referendum Election.
