Poll Watcher Orientation Offered By Elections Office
Indian River County, FL – The Indian River County Supervisor of Elections office will offer a second Poll Watcher Orientation class at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 28, at the Supervisor of Elections office at 4375 43rd Avenue, Vero Beach. The original Poll Watcher Orientation class was set for 3 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28, but due to an overwhelming interest in the class, a second session has been added.
The orientation class will cover specific guidelines and regulations poll watchers must adhere to, as well as, general information about the voting process. Each political party, political committee and each candidate requesting to have poll watchers must submit a poll watcher designation form to the Supervisor of Elections. The deadline to submit designation forms to serve as an early voting poll watcher is noon, July 30, and the deadline to submit designation forms to serve as an Election Day poll watcher is noon, August 9.
