Poll Watcher Orientation Offered for General Election

 

Indian River County, FL – Supervisor of Elections Leslie Swan announces the Elections Office will be offering a Poll Watcher Orientation for the upcoming General Election. The orientation will take place at 3 p.m. on Friday, October 7, at the Supervisor of Elections office located at 4375 43rd Avenue, Vero Beach.

The orientation class will cover specific guidelines and regulations poll watchers must adhere to, as well as general information about the voting process.

“The poll watcher orientation class will ensure that every individual who wishes to observe the voting process in our county understands the election laws and our procedures,” said Supervisor of Elections Leslie Swan.

To be an eligible poll watcher for the upcoming General Election, each political party, political committee, and each candidate requesting to have poll watchers must submit a poll watcher designation form to the Supervisor of Elections. The deadline to submit designation forms to serve as an early voting poll watcher is noon, October 10, and the deadline to submit designation forms to serve as an Election Day poll watcher is noon, October 25.
