Testing of the Voting Equipment for the November General Election
Indian River County, FL – The Indian River County Supervisor of Elections office will test the voting and tabulation equipment to be used in the upcoming General Election. The Logic and Accuracy Test is open to the public and will begin at 8 a.m. on Friday, October 14 at the Supervisor of Elections office located at 4375 43rd Avenue, Vero Beach.
The testing of the voting and tabulation equipment involves running pre-marked ballots through the tabulation equipment and then comparing the results with the number of pre-determined valid votes for each race. At the conclusion of the test, all voting equipment is sealed and secured in preparation for delivery to early voting sites and Election Day polling places.
“Many residents are unaware that the Logic and Accuracy test is open to the public,” said Supervisor of Elections Leslie Swan. “If any member of the public would like to observe the testing process, my staff and I welcome your attendance and are available to answer any questions.”
